2012 will mark the 50th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Arizona Memorial. Perhaps unlike any moment in our modern history, the attack on Pearl Harbor prompted millions of Americans in the call of duty to help preserve the freedoms we enjoy in this great country. The sacrifices that were made by so many should be cherished, honored and never forgotten.

Instrumental and vocal ensembles from every state in the country have been recommended to us and will be invited to participate. Each group will be a musical ambassador from their state in the American Musical Salute USS Arizona Memorial 50th Anniversary Commemoration. .

The American Musical Salute is fortunate to have a long tradition of providing meaningful performances and events in historic locations worldwide on significant anniversaries. In 2009, AMS completed a very successful event in Hawaii, celebrating 50 Years of Statehood. Thousands of students from all across the country had the opportunity to perform on the islands in tribute of our 50th state!

We hope you will take the time to consider this invitation to join us in our island state in 2012. Event dates will be available throughout the spring and summer including a special commemoration Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-28, 2012. The event will culminate on December 7, 2012. Performances will take place at Pearl Harbor in remembrance of this historic anniversary.
